I’m not sure what time it is, but I know I’m traveling at an altitude of 37,000 feet and at a speed of 525 mi/hr. The plane is a lot nicer than I imagined and there is plenty of legroom (thank God). Each headset has a blinding screen with entertainment options and information on the flight.
We’ve been flying over Northeastern Canada for a while now, approaching the North Atlantic. Having never flown over this expanse of water before, I have to admit I’m glad it’s dark out. Leela and I both took sleep aids to help us rest throughout the flight. Unfortunately, it’s not subsiding my vivid excitement. The screen informs me that we have 2.5 hours remaining until we land in Reykjavík, Iceland. Once landed, we switch planes. The hot springs are supposed to be breathtaking in Iceland. You can basically sit in a hot tub and be surrounded by mountains at the same time! The cheesy and stale on board literature shows people drinking and swimming in the springs, funny. I suppose I’ll try and get some shuteye. We have a really busy day coming. I believe we’ll be getting into Paris mid-day which will create some mad jet lag. Until next time…
