Sometimes when I'm shooting I have deep memories come to the surface of my mind. These memories are cultivated and recalled by the environments I surround myself in while shooting. It could be the smell of fresh cut grass in the summertime, the sound of crunching fresh snow beneath my boots or simply seeing the bright sun drop beyond the horizon. No matter what the event is, it shakes me to my core. These moments remind me what it means to live. Photography is one of the rare artforms that has the ability to spark strong emotions in the click of a shutter. Within 1/60 of a second, our lives are frozen in time.
During Caleb and Sara's engagement session, this amazing recollection happened for me. We laughed, played and enjoyed each other's company while being surrounded by nature's splendor. The fall colors exploded into the sky and it was truly a dream as a photographer. The entire time, I couldn't help but think of my childhood. I remembered the smell of the leaves and the sound of rustling. The cool breezes were brisk, making you realize how temporary the seasons are.
Caleb and Sara are a great couple and you can see the love radiate between them. I'm so thankful to be a part of their engagement and wedding next fall. Hopefully you guys love your images and I look forward to the big day! Enjoy.
