Torey and Kate's wedding day was charming, thoughtful and sweet. With Kate's sense of design and her fabulous team of vendors, they created a wonderful place for everyone to witness and celebrate their marriage. I'll never forget shooting in their home. Inside the recently built South Minneapolis home, Kate and her bridesmaids slid into their dresses and received their glamorous make up. On the other side of town, Torey and his groomsmen enjoyed cold beers and pizza. To me, these simple pleasures are what make a wedding day really special. Nothing over done; just honest happiness. I truly hope these images help you re-live that beautiful day through their light, color and composition. But most importantly, I hope the simple charm of Torey and Kate's wedding day shines through.

"I knew that the proposal would be coming soon, but didn't know specifically when. On Nov. 4th, I was laying on the couch while we were watching TV. Torey was digging through the Halloween candy on the kitchen counter. I asked him, "Hey, wanna bring me something good from up there?" And he agreed, and said he would surprise me. Torey isn't really one for surprising, so I said, "Ooh this is fun! OK, I'll shut my eyes." And I held out my hand. He rustled some candy wrapper as he approached and said, "OK, you should check out your choices..." In one hand, he had a small Twix. In the other, he had the most beautiful ring I'd ever seen. I chose the ring."
